Biography

Dr. Paquette received his DDS in 1979 and his MS in Pediatric Dentistry in 1983 from the UNC School of Dentistry. His Master’s thesis in pediatric dentistry won AAPD research award that same year. Dr. Paquette served as a pediatric dentistry consultant for the USAF in Europe and Asia until 1987. He obtained his specialty certificate in orthodontics and MSD in Orthodontics in January 1990 from St Louis Univ. His Master’s thesis in orthodontics won the Milo Hellman award in 1991.

Dr. Paquette has written and published multiple articles for scientific journals and has authored two textbook chapters. He is on the faculty at Saint Louis University. He is actively involved in ongoing research utilizing the latest technological advances in orthodontic appliances and computers to enhance both patient treatment and office efficiency. His work with Align Technology began in 1999 doing early clinical trials and he has continued to work with Align as a speaker and clinical advisory board member since that time. Dr. Paquette is a recognized expert, having lectured throughout the US, Europe, Australia and Asia since 2001. Dr. Paquette has produced Ask-the-Expert online webinars and has presented lectures at the Invisalign Summit for many years. His work with ORMCO has included development and testing of new appliances and lecturing worldwide since 1992.

Dr. Paquette is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He is a past president of the Charlotte Dental Society and a past president of the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Paquette and his wife Jenny have four daughters aged 8,10, 12 and 12. They live in Mooresville, NC. where he maintains his full time private practice limited exclusively to orthodontics and can be found at www.paquetteortho.com.
